Sleep connection to ADHD behavior
How much do you know about ADHD?
Here is one fact I didn’t know:
Did you know that according to research results (Seminars in Pediatric Neurology, Mar 1996), lack of sleep can bring out lack off focus, negativity?
If you have a child who is irritable, has a tough time focusing, it might due to child’s lack of sleep. Perhaps it is sleep apnea or some other reasons but it would be wise to look into this to see if that could be the root of the problem.
My son has symptoms of ADHD but he does also have problems sleeping. Perhaps it might be better for us to take him to a sleep doctor before an ADHD specialist?
What is causing what? It was a pretty eye-opening information.
