Why we fear to make mistakes
Most of the time, fear that we feel is an irrational feeling that should be controlled. This dreaded feeling is rooted in our perception of what people would think of us of if we screw up.
We fear that if we make mistakes or fail, strangers especially friends and family will think less of us. We fear that it will validate to everyone how inadequate we are. We are so sensitive to how other people thinks of us that it petrified us.
Mistakes and failures do not define us and are normal. Mistakes are what happens when we try and if we do not, we do not experience life as God has meant for us.
Embrace fear and do not live in its shadows. Let’s live, experiment, and of course make mistakes and fail at times but learn and grow from it.
Let’s seize the day.
“The Greatest mistake we make is living in constant fear that we will make one.” -John C. Maxwell
